Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults—but the good news is that many falls can be prevented with the right education, support, and tools. That’s why Richmond Aging and Engaging is proud to participate in Henrico County’s Annual Fall Prevention Festival on Wednesday, September 10, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Oak Avenue Complex (15 S. Oak Avenue, Highland Springs, VA 23075).
At the festival, our team will be:
- ✅ Checking rollators to make sure they are safe and properly adjusted
- ✅ Providing rollator safety education to support safe mobility and independence
This free community event is designed to help older adults and their families learn simple, practical ways to stay safe at home and in the community. In addition to rollator checks, participants can:
- Bring their medication list and mobility devices for review
- Take part in health screenings and consultations
- Enjoy games and interactive activities
Whether you’re an older adult, a caregiver, or a family member, this festival is a wonderful opportunity to gather resources, ask questions, and connect with organizations dedicated to promoting safe and healthy aging.
📞 To register, call 804-501-5065 or email agingadvocate@henrico.gov.
We hope to see you there—and to help keep you rolling safely forward!
